How many times, during work or social activities, you’re trying your best to not feeling anxious while people around you keep saying “don’t worry about it” or “just relax”.
You know they’re right but still it doesn’t help you feeling better, infact you may get even more anxious. You rationally understand that your anxiety is totally unfounded but emotionally feel like you’re going to explode.
Why is it so difficult to overcome?
The reason lies in the distinction between rational mind ad emotional mind, which is far more difficult to manage by ourselves because of its automatic responses. We can’t decide what we feel because it is a conditioned reflex, developed during our past experiences.
How hypnosis can provide stress relief and help us overcoming anxiety?
Hypnotherapy basically uses the dissociated state of mind to help the person in treatment. It is an altered state of mind which we experience in our life different times a day. It’s the case when we suddenly lose the attention and start to daydream. That is an example of a light dissociated state, obviously the state reached during hypnosis is far more deeper. Anyway, don’t worry, you will always be in control for all the duration of the session. In the preliminary interviews you will build positive inner resources with your therapist that will be implemented in the hypnosis.
During your journey through the therapy you will learn a different way of feeling and learn new strategies to overcome anxiety-inducing situation.
